The eleventh membership spotlight of the spring semester is Raeesah Twahir, a senior public relations major. This is Raeesah’s first semester as a member of PRSSA and she is an engaged and involved member of our chapter! Raeesah can often be found attending PRSSA events, bonding with other members and networking with PR professionals.
Here is a Q&A session with Raeesah:
Q: Why do you love PRSSA? What do you hope to get out of it?
A: I love PRSSA because it gives me a platform to grow in the field of public relations.
Q: What committee are you a part of? What have you done with this committee?
A: I am on the digital committee. Currently, I am working on an alumni spotlight.
Q: What PRSSA events have you participated in?
A: I went to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference in March. It was one of the most enlightening and fulfilling experiences. I learned so much and couldn’t have asked for a more rewarding experience.
Q: What is the coolest place you’ve ever visited?
A: Definitely Montreal, Canada! My family and I went before I went off to college. It was such a beautiful and fun place! I would love to go back one day with a family of my own.
Q: Favorite social media platform and why?
A: Twitter, because it allows individuals to voice their opinions openly.
Q: Dream job?
A: To work in beauty public relations. I am currently a makeup artist and would love to incorporate my passion for beauty with my profession.
