Our first Membership Spotlight of the semester is Caitlin McGeehan! This is her second semester in PRSSA, and she's been standing out! Here is a Q & A with her:
Q: Where are you from? What is your major/minor?
A: I'm from Woodbury, New Jersey, and I'm a PR major.
Q: How long have you been a member of PRSSA?
A: This is my second semester in PRSSA.
Q: Why do you love PRSSA? What do you hope to get out of it?
A: I love PRSSA because I learn so much from the speakers we have, and also from the other members and their experiences. It's such a great way to make personal and professional connections with other PR students.
Q: What committee are you a part of? What have you done with this committee?
A: I'm part of the amazing PR committee, where I've gotten tips on PR skills and how to get the best internships.
Q: What PRSSA events have you participated in?
A: I am part of the mentor/mentee program, so I've been to many of the program events (Dip Night was so much fun!), Grace Cafe, and last semester I attended the Devine + Partners tour.
Q: What other TU organizations are you a part of?
A: I am a concert review writer for WHIP's Web department, part of the WHIP Promo/Events department, and the Inclusivity Representative for Morgan North's Community Council, and a member of the Temple Tappers.
Q: Coolest place you've ever traveled to?
A: I haven't traveled many places (yet!), but so far, Boston has been my favorite place.
Q: Favorite social media platform and why?
A: Instagram is definitely my favorite platform since everyone is on it! There's the opportunity to see pictures, videos, and stories from my friends as well as PR professionals in the area of the field I want to go into (and my favorite celebrities of course).
Q: Dream job?
A: My dream job is to be a publicist for pop musicians!
