Membership Spotlight: Megan Walsh

The thirteenth membership spotlight of the spring semester is Megan Walsh, a sophomore media studies and production major. This is Megan’s first semester as a member of PRSSA and she is already a very involved member of our chapter! Megan can often be found attending PRSSA events and bonding with other members.

Here is a Q&A session with Megan:

Q: Where are you from? What is your major/minor?

A: I'm from Langhorne, PA. I'm a Media Studies and Production major and minor in Public Relations.

Q: Why do you love PRSSA? What do you hope to get out of it?

A: I love PRSSA because it gives me the opportunity to learn about the world of Public Relations outside of the classroom. I hope I can continue to make more connections through the organization that will help me figure out where I belong in this field!

Q: What PRSSA events have you participated in?

A: I attended the Regional Conference in March, and absolutely loved it!

Q: What other TU organizations are you a part of?

A: I am on the executive board for A Moment of Magic, a nonprofit organization that provides creative programming to children who are medically vulnerable while dressed as their favorite characters - I dress as Elsa. I also act in the sketch comedy show, Temple SMASH. A student-run TUTV show that performs on campus as well as at the Philly Improv Theater. I am also a founding sister of Delta Delta Delta on Temple's campus!

Q: What is the coolest place you’ve ever visited?

A: The coolest place I have traveled to would probably have to be Paris, France. No city in the United States can even compare!

Q: Favorite social media platform and why?

A: My favorite social media platform would have to be Instagram because of the simple design of it. It's all content-oriented.

Q: Dream job?

A: My dream job would probably have to be as the face of a company or organization. I love people, and I love talking about things I am passionate about and making connections - especially in the area of nonprofits. However, I am open to other avenues as well!
