The eighth membership spotlight of the spring semester is Jordan Harris, a sophomore majoring in public relations. This is Jordan’s second year as a member of PRSSA and she is a committed member of our chapter! Jordan can often be found bonding with other members at general body meetings.
Here is a Q&A session with Jordan:
Q: Where are you from? What is your major/minor?
A: I’m from Henrico, Virginia. I am a Public Relations major and a Digital Media Engagement minor.
Q: Why do you love PRSSA? What do you hope to get out of it?
A: I love PRSSA because I get to know the people within my major in a way that is more relaxed than the classroom.
Q: What committee are you a part of? What have you done with this committee?
A: I am a part of the Public Relations committee and this semester I’ve worked on the Conference committee.
Q: What PRSSA events have you participated in?
A: I’ve attended the agency tour of Braithwaite Communications.
Q: What other TU organizations are you a part of?
A: I am a founding sister of Tri Delta and I am the Director of Finance and Account Associate of PRowl Public Relations!
Q: What is the coolest place you’ve ever visited?
A: This past winter break, I went on a cruise to Mexico, Belize, and Honduras. In Honduras, we went to Gumbalimba Park where monkeys jump on your shoulders and it was so memorable!
Q: Favorite social media platform and why?
A: I think that Twitter is my favorite because I like reading relatable content.
Q: Dream job?
A: I’m still trying to figure out my dream job by working and learning about different areas of PR but being an agent to an entertainment client has been something that I’ve thought was really interesting.
