On Tuesday, February 20, 2018, the Digital Committee held their second meeting of the semester in the Tech Center. The agenda for the meeting consisted of reviewing the PRSSA blog schedule and social media content calendar, as well as playing a game of Kahoot.
Joei DeCarlo, Director of Public Relations, discussed the blogging schedule and committee members signed up for and contributed ideas for blog posts. Olivia Rotondo, Director of Social Media, reviewed the social media content calendar and encouraged members to post content. She also reminded everyone about the PRSSA National Twitter Chat happening that night, which was a requirement of the Free Membership Contest, which ended the same day.
The Digital Committee also talked about the 5th annual TU Invitational, the upcoming conference Temple PRSSA is planning. TU Invitational will feature professional speakers, workshops, and networking on April 7, 2018. Olivia and Joei discussed the advantages of attending the event and encouraged new members to get tickets. The committee also brainstormed ideas for the TU Invitational landing page, intended for our website and took volunteers who would like to work on it, in collaboration with DeCarlo and our Conference Coordinator, Chelsea Seidel.
Lastly, the committee played a fun game of Kahoot featuring questions about common grammatical errors in public relations writing. It also included questions that reviewed which committee heads to contact for information or questions about the blog, social media, and conference. The Digital Committee had a fun time going through the game and e-board members answered any questions members had at the conclusion of the meeting.
