It’s that time of the year where people are getting ready for Halloween, and couples are trying to think of the perfect costume to wear on the night of. Couples costumes have been a statement choice for years, and some go the scary route and some go the cute route. Nowadays, more couples are going the funny route and taking costumes to a whole new level. More and more couples costumes are coming into gender swap ideas and the internet is loving it. Here are a few ideas for you and your significant other or friend to try out.
1. Squints and Wendy Peffercorn (Lifeguard)
Everyone loves the classic Sandlot movie and what’s better than taking the childhood dream of Wendy Peffercorn and Squints and making them into a costume. This is a fun idea to take and gender swap them. It lets the girls be fun and outgoing! It’s a spin on a classic and it’s honestly one of my favorite costumes out there. I mean who doesn’t love wearing some dorky big glasses!
2. Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf
This is an easier, as well as more comfortable, take on gender swap costumes. This is a classic fairytale and is actually really cute. It’s easy to put together as well since one person wears all read with a hood and one can wear all black, ears, and a little bit of makeup. It’s great for a last-minute idea for anyone still looking for a costume on the last night.
3. Mario Brothers
We love the original costumes like the Mario brothers is something that has been played around with for years. This is one that is cute and fun to do. Everyone will know what your costume is and you get to carry a little mustache! Everyone loves the classic video game and the characters that come with them!
4. Juno and Bleaker
Who doesn’t want to see their boyfriend walking around all night with a pregnant belly? This could also be a learning experience if you make it heavy so he knows how you’ll feel in the future. This also is one of the funniest costumes that you could do. And you’ll be the high light of any party.
5. Harley Quinn and the Joker
We love the classic supervillain costumes, they allow us to stay kids and also it’s so much fun. You’ll have lots of laughs and also you get to wear fun colors and makeup! This is probably the most time-consuming costumes but it is still one that is fun!
Now there are so many other options for Halloween but these are just a few of my favorites. They’re so much fun and allow you and your friend or significant other to just be a child again. Halloween is the perfect excuse to act silly and express your inner child.
